With driver-less vehicles, the costs are even more glaring. Just the thought of having a vehicle hacked- taken control of- should send shivers down your spine.
It is something I have always pondered on, which reflects in a simplistic form in how i ignore request for app updates. If the app works efficiently from my perspective, why should i update it? I always read the feature notes and if i am not convinced i want this new feature, then no update for me.

if we keep ignoring the human costs of “innovation”, then one day we are going to wake up and the majority of people will have more to gain from the downfall of our society than from its successful continuation.
